The Stunners

The Stunners are a 5 piece American Girlband. This is an extract taken from their website:  “We are the Stunners – 5 strong, talented, unique, sometimes naughty, sometimes nice, always entertaining, real, and definitely sassy girls. Guaranteed, you will never find another group like us. We are able to bring something fresh and new to the table, something that has never been done before, and each one of us is undeniably different. Before we came together, we each had been working around L.A. individually, pursuing acting careers, solo music careers, and sometimes even stints in other generic/boring girl groups that only put us to sleep. … so we created The Stunners!

Give them a little bit and they’ll be big. (I’ve decided I should be a “talent” scout for recognizing the “it” factor. Hah.  They are actually really catchy. Good stuff.

these tunes, when i’m on the subway, when i’m walking, stalking, running- it’s very hard for me to not dance around. oh yeah, i’m that crazy girl. the one that dances. hanging off the ceiling. and you know what, you will too. so what have we got here? some are all out club type pop songs. others- cheryl cole’s parachute fastforwarded. the stunners, you’re going to see more of them in the future, i’m sure. myah marie, she sounds like britney spears. so does this tune a little bit. that’s because well, she’s britney’s “backup” vocal. 😉 new christina, new paradiso girls, and some other divas that are ridiculously catchy. yeah, listen to it. you know you want to. don’t hate. samples & more – check my blog.

Marion Raven- Here I Am

Marion Elise Ravn (artist name: Marion Raven) is a Norwegian singer and musician. She was born on May 25, 1984 in Lørenskog, a suburb outside Oslo, Norway. She was formerly part of the duo M2M, along with Marit Larsen. After M2M broke up in September of 2002, Marion was offered a million dollar recording contract with Atlantic Records. Raven’s first solo album Here I Am was released in the spring of 2005. The solo effort displayed a more mature rock songbird that veered away from the bubblegum pop image cultivated by Atlantic Records for M2M. ‘Here I Am’ sees Marion collaborating with veteran producers Max Martin and Rami, Jimmy Harry, and collaborations with Nikki Sixx from Mötley Crüe for the song “Heads Will Roll” and rock band Everclear on the song “At The End of the Day”. The album mostly chronicles Marion’s heartbreak and finding her true identity in an ever changing pop landscape.

Marion Raven’s first album, Here I Am is the first version of Set Me Free. It’s hard to find and it’s my favourite version. She cut a lot of my favourite tracks for Set Me Free, for I guess her raunchier songs. This version had more depth, I think. “End of Me” and “Get Me Out Of Here” were my favourites. If you already have Set Me Free, then I’d suggest taking the exclusive tracks link, if you don’t want repeats. However, the full album of Here I Am is a little different overall. Anyways, here you go.

Kaci Battaglia

Kaci Battaglia is not your average “New Artist.” In many respects, she’s not new – certainly not if “new” implies a lack of experience: By the time she was 13, she had already toured the world, and had several top ten singles. But one thing is for sure – Kaci’s forthcoming release, due out this fall, leaves no doubt that this 21-year-old singer/songwriter is really an artist. Kaci caught the music bug early and had started singing at the age of three. A shy child, she came alive on stage, without a trace of the bashfulness she displayed in her everyday life.

Here.

Jade Ewan

Jade was the representative of the United Kingdom in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘It’s My Time’ composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and written by Diane Warren. She managed to reach 5th place which was the United Kingdom’s best result since 2002.

Jade is a singer, actor and dancer who attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School. She was signed to Polydor (part of Universal Music Group), who released the single ‘My Man’ in September 2009. At the time of the single’s release, she was drafted in by her label to replace Keisha Buchanan in the girl group Sugababes, signed to Island Records (part of Universal Music Group).

Myah Marie

Myah Marie is another one of those vox box chicks. Well sometimes. But mix that up with a little Britney. Her song “Candy From Strangers” way back was confused as a leak from Britney’s new album.  If you hear “Look In Your Eyes,” you can hear the similarities. She also has done back up for Britney so it makes sense. Check out her myspace.

Myah Marie- Single is kind of sexy.

Myah Marie – Hallucination

Myah Marie – Look In Your Eyes

Ke$ha. Kesha. She brushes her teeth with jack.

Kesha Sebert, Ke$ha. Kesha did extra vocals for the Britney Spears song “Lace and Leather” and Flo Rida’s hit “Right Round”. She is featured in Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” music video, and co-wrote The Veronicas’ “This Love” She is also currently working on a collaboration with the band 3OH!3.

No doubt, she’s going to be the next big thing. There’s no doubt about that. (I have pretty good instincts about this and it usually blows up in my face aka my previous obsession-two years ago- with Lady Gaga and now I would like to string her neck. Oh well.) Anyways, Ke$ha is..unsual to say the least. She sings about boots and boys and you think, wow she’s super girly. And then about she sings about being bored and stoned, sitting in the basement. And you go to her myspace.  And you think pothead? Whatever she is with her well, interesting image, we’ve seen weirder-she’s effing catchy. Her new song that feature “P.Diddy” keeps having its name change (with Puffy Daddy, I wonder why..) but is available for download at LAST FM and itunes right now.  Check it out.   Tik Tok free download

More Kesha.
